Abigaile Pittman has thirty years of experience as an urban planner, as well as twelve years of overlapping experience as a commercial and industrial real estate broker. Her professional experience encompasses a blend of both the public and private sectors. She served as the Development Administrator for the City of High Point for nine years, where her duties consisted of coordination, direction and administration of the Department’s development division, including six planners and intern personnel, pertaining to the administration of the city’s Development Ordinance, including zoning and subdivision activities, city-wide landscaping regulations, the implementation of a city-wide rezoning, and the regular development of recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Historic Preservation Commission and City Council. Abigaile thereafter left to do regional planning consulting and real estate brokerage. Abigaile is a long-term resident of North Carolina, and has numerous established professional relationships, and brings a high standard of ethics to all of her professional interactions.
Abigaile’s specialties in the urban planning field are the development and negotiation of zoning conditions, development assessments, the development and implementation of long-term area plans, the relationship between land use and transportation, citizen participation, and historic preservation. Further, because Abigaile is also a licensed commercial real estate broker, she has twelve years of experience applying her skills to her clients’ real estate development needs and goals. Abigaile is well versed in planning law, as well as the real estate market and practices which can drive some projects.
