Mr. Van Parys has over thirty (30) years experience as a draftsman/CADD technician for civil design. For the past twenty (20) years, he has continued to expand his skills to the design of roadways; water, sewer & storm drainage, including hydrology; grading and erosion control.  His experience encompasses both the private and public sector.  He spent two years with the Arizona DOT working on traffic engineering plans, designing and drafting using Microstation.  In the private sector, he has applied his skills in AutoCAD, Microstation, GeoPak, V-8, and Inroads working with several engineering firms in the states of North Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, West Virginia, Maryland and Texas.  This has given him a well-rounded view of roadway design engineering.  Specifically, while working at Ramaker & Associates in Sauk City, WI, Mr. Van Parys laid out several subdivisions in Warrens, WI (Jellystone) using Microstation, V8, and Inroads.  While working at Davenport Transportation Consulting (formerly John Davenport Engineering, Inc.), he has utilized his abilities to set up AutoCAD standards for the transportation design department.  His accomplishments include setting up plan sets, writing a standards manual for AutoCAD, ordering surveys, preparing cost estimates for roadway design projects.  Along with his other duties, he always has time to help a team member with any questions about AutoCAD.  Mr. Van Parys also has experience in land surveying, construction testing and inspection.
